Extending Your Growing Season with Cold Frames

Join us at White Feather Farm for an educational workshop, led by Celia Brubaker and Sophia Goode, on maximizing your growing season in the Hudson Valley! Learn how to build and utilize cold frames using sustainable, upcycled materials like old windows, doors and even straw.

We’ll cover:

  • Building Cold Frames: We will demonstrate the construction of a cold frame and send you home with detailed plans on how to DIY it.

  • Season Extension: Understand when and what to plant in your cold frames to have some harvest year-round and get a head start on spring.

Whether you're a seasoned gardener or new to the world of plants, this workshop will provide practical skills and creative ideas to extend your growing season sustainably. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect with your garden year round.
