Welcome to White Feather Farm, home to the historic Broken Wing Barn in Ulster County, NY. This charming Dutch barn offers a versatile space for intimate events, from weddings and family gatherings to corporate meetings and creative performances. With its blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, the Broken Wing Barn provides a unique backdrop for your special occasion, all set within our picturesque working organic farm.

The Broken Wing Barn

One of Ulster County's oldest Dutch Barns, the Broken Wing Barn is ideal for intimate private events, corporate meetings, small-scale music performances, and pop-up galleries.


Space: The Broken Wing Barn accommodates 56 people seated for dinner, 70-90 people for cocktails, and 70 people for seated presentations or meetings.

Audio Visual Equipment: Basic lighting and speaker package available. Renters may bring their own equipment. An AV Technician must be present to run music programs.

Restrooms: 2 available restrooms in Broken Wing Barn. Additional portable toilets may be arranged by the renter.

Green Room: Small green room/storage room available with a small couch and prep table.

Parking Lot: On-site parking available.

Kitchen: Standard kitchen is available for caterers' food prep. WFF cannot store food or ice in advance.

Tables & Chairs: 6, 6ft rectangular tables & 60 folding chairs available. Renter responsible for additional furniture and linen rentals.

Covered Patio: Located outside the kitchen, suitable for guest use or caterer prep space.

FAQ’s

  • Available outside WFF's operating hours (M-F 7am - 3pm and during WFF-hosted events). Event fee includes 4 hours total. Additional fees apply beyond 4 hours.

  • Lot near Broken Wing Barn accommodates 20 vehicles. Accessible parking available. Additional parking for 20 vehicles near the farm entrance. Overflow parking can be arranged.

  • Guests may tour the working farm during daylight hours. Guided tours available for an additional fee.

  • WFF provides a Venue Coordinator, Facilities Maintainer, and Parking Attendant. Staff duties include space preparation, greeting caterers and guests, facility maintenance, and monitoring spaces. Note: Staff are not servers or bartenders.

    • Rentals start at $1500, subject to increase based on client needs. 

    • 4-hour rental included; $350 for each additional hour. 

    • 50% deposit required with signed contract to reserve. 

    • Bookings required minimum 2 weeks in advance. 

    • WFF Partners enjoy a 15% discount. Nonprofits may qualify for special rates, subject to event availability.

  • Licensed caterer required for food and alcohol service. Renter is responsible for contracting and coordinating with a licensed caterer for their event. Alcohol service must be provided by a NYS licensed caterer and be served and consumed in accordance with NYS state regulations. Self-serve food (Breakfast Drops, Sandwiches and Sodas, etc) may be arranged. Self Serve alcohol and potluck style meals are not allowed.

    Seasonal White Feather Farm flower packages are available upon request!

    Freestanding decor is allowed. Nothing may be hung on any structure, indoors or outdoors without prior approval from the WFF Venue Coordinator.

  • All required permits from the Ulster County DOH and NYS Liquor Authority are required to be applied for and held by the renter. 


    For most events, WFF requires a certificate of insurance (COI) naming the White Feather Farm, Inc. as additional insured for up to $1,000,000 in general liability for the duration of the event.

    • Full refund for cancellations 2+ weeks prior to the event. 

    • No refund for cancellations less than 2 weeks prior. 

    • WFF reserves the right to cancel for policy non-compliance.

    • Renter may reschedule event 1x without fee, at 2 weeks prior to the event pending availability.

    • In that event that inclement weather dictates that WFF requires to cancel the event due to safety concerns, Renter will be permitted to reschedule the event.

    • No smoking on premises. 

    • No pets (service dogs permitted). 

    • As a 501(c)3, WFF does not host political events and reserves the right to decline events contrary to its mission.
