White Feather Farm has teamed up with an environmental youth education org
This year we are proud to be working with Sprout Up
a volunteer-led organization that teaches children concepts in environmental science, sustainability, and the unique ecosystems that surround them. They have provided free video lessons for our elementary school audience during the pandemic. Their program, Sprout Up Explores, has mobilized dozens of college student volunteers across the country to create educational videos about science, nature, and environmental justice.
We are pleased to be collaborators in their new online educational series:
Exploring a Farm!
In this six-part series, join us as we explore plants on a farm from seed to harvest, learn about how farmers grow food, and discover why farms are important to our communities! We'll also hear from a variety of special guests who will share stories and their knowledge about farming, indigenous history, and food. Students will have the opportunity to engage with the videos through worksheets, at-home crafts and activities, and more. This program will be available in both English and Spanish. Stay tuned as we release the full series in mid-October!
