In this workshop, led by Amanda Vaughn, we will be exploring common native, naturalized, and easy to grow medicinal herbs to introduce into one’s garden. We will investigate the best growing conditions for each herb, care-taking for plant health, and learn about optimal harvest schedules. For each herb, we'll explore its physiological effects and how to incorporate it into your wellness practices. When finished with our lecture, we will demo how to make both alcohol and non-alcohol based tinctures, oxymels, and oil infusions.
Amanda will also offer samplings of premade salves, tinctures, and seasonal herbal infusions.
