Kayhan is a Grammy-Award-winning, internationally-acclaimed virtuoso on the Iranian kamancheh (spiked fiddle), and is one of Iran's most beloved artists. Kayhan has been instrumental in popularizing Persian music in the West, and he is a creative force in today’s music scene. His performances of traditional Persian music and his multiple collaborations have attracted audiences around the globe.

Kayhan has collaborated with Yo-Yo Ma, The Silk Road Ensemble, Shujaat Husain Khan and Ghazal Ensemble, Erdal Erzincan, Brooklyn Rider, Rembrandt Trio and Osvaldo Golijov. He has performed on international stages from Carnegie Hall to the Barbican.
